I first photographed the DeBels in 2009 when Emme was a newborn, making their little family a brand new foursome (long before taking their recent family portraits on the Deschutes River Trail). My camera has been on them a handful of times since, and these kids have grown in front of it. At one session, Wyatt serenaded me and asked me out for ice cream afterwards. (He’s going to be a heartbreaker, I just know it!)
Josh and I were in Bend for a whirlwind weekend a couple weeks ago, and we met the DeBels along the river for a quick morning session before driving to the airport to fly out again. It was the beginning of our whirlwind month of September traveling, and this was the perfect way to end the first stop on our itinerary. After all, photographing clients that are now good friends is always more fun.
Here’s a peek at our time together.
